It has been pointed out that July 6th (the opening day of the G8 Summit) is also the the anniversary of the 1988 Piper Alpha disaster in which 167 oil workers died.
One of our riders has contacted OILC (in an individual capacity) to sound out the possibility of some sort of action in Aberdeen to make the connection between climate change, corporate greed in the oil industry and workers rights.
